Synopsis
Dr. STONE New World is the 2023 third season of the science adventure anime. This first part has 11 episodes and was made by TMS Entertainment, based on the manga by Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi. It picks up after the end of the second season.
Thousands of years ago, a strange light turned every human on Earth into stone. Senku Ishigami, a teenage science genius, broke free and started to rebuild human society, one invention at a time. With his friends in the Kingdom of Science, he has made glass, medicine, iron, phones and even a car.
Now Senku has a much bigger goal. He wants to find out who or what turned the world to stone. A strange radio signal seems to come from the other side of the ocean. To get there, the Kingdom of Science must build a large ship that can sail across the sea.
For that, they need oil for fuel and a skilled captain. Senku decides to revive Ryusui Nanami, the rich and greedy heir of a huge shipping company. Ryusui is an amazing sailor, but he wants everything in the world for himself. He brings money and trade to the Kingdom of Science, and things get very lively.
The group sets out to explore new lands, find an oil field and build their ship. On the way, they meet new people and face new problems. The season follows Senku and his friends as they prepare for a long voyage across the sea.
