Synopsis
Kill la Kill is a 2013 action comedy anime with 24 episodes. It is an original story made by Studio Trigger. It is set in Japan, at a huge school called Honnouji Academy that rules over its own town.
Ryuko Matoi is a tough transfer student who carries half of a giant pair of scissors as a sword. Her father was killed, and the only clue she has is the other half of the scissor blade. She comes to Honnouji Academy because she believes someone there knows who the killer is.
Honnouji Academy is run by Satsuki Kiryuin, the cold and powerful student council president. The school works like a strict class system. The best students wear Goku Uniforms, special clothes made with a material called Life Fibers. These uniforms give them superhuman strength. Students with more stars on their uniforms get better homes and more power, while the rest live in poor areas of town.
Ryuko challenges Satsuki, but she is badly beaten. Back home, she finds a strange sailor uniform under her father's house. The uniform can talk, and it calls itself Senketsu. When Ryuko wears it, she gets great power of her own.
At school, Ryuko makes a friend named Mako Mankanshoku, a cheerful girl who always speaks her mind. The series follows Ryuko as she fights her way through the student council to find the truth about her father. The show is fast and loud, with lots of over the top fights and jokes.
