Synopsis
Angels of Death is a 2018 psychological horror anime with 16 episodes. It was made by the studio J.C.Staff and is based on the video game by Makoto Sanada. It is set inside a strange building with many floors. The show has violence and dark themes, and it is made for older viewers.
Rachel Gardner is a quiet 13 year old girl. One day, she wakes up in the basement of a building she does not know. She has very few memories of how she got there. Her eyes look empty, and she shows almost no emotion.
As Rachel explores, she finds that each floor of the building is controlled by a different person. Each of them is dangerous, and each floor has its own traps and rules.
On one floor, Rachel meets Isaac Foster, known as Zack. He is a violent killer covered in bandages who carries a large scythe. He tries to kill her. But soon, both of them are marked as targets by the building, and they have to escape together.
Rachel and Zack make an unusual deal. Rachel is clever and can solve the puzzles on each floor. Zack is strong and can fight anyone who gets in their way. They promise to help each other get out. In return, Rachel asks Zack for something very strange once they escape.
The series follows Rachel and Zack as they climb from floor to floor, face the other residents and slowly learn the truth about the building and about Rachel's past.
