Synopsis
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 is the 2008 second season of the science fiction mecha anime. It has 25 episodes and was made by the studio Sunrise as an original story. It is set one year after the end of the first season, in a world ruled in large part by the Holy Britannian Empire.
Britannia took over Japan years ago and renamed it Area 11. The Japanese people now live as second class citizens. In the first season, a masked rebel called Zero led an army called the Black Knights against Britannia. Their uprising failed, and Zero disappeared.
Now Lelouch Lamperouge lives a quiet life as a student at Ashford Academy. He skips class to gamble and spends time with his younger brother, Rolo. But Lelouch does not know that his memories have been changed. He does not remember that he was once Zero. He also does not remember his power, the Geass, which lets him give anyone an order they must follow.
Then C.C., the mysterious girl who first gave him the Geass, finds him again. With her help, Lelouch gets his memories back. He learns that he has been watched the whole time. He also learns that his true younger sister, Nunnally, is missing from his life.
Lelouch decides to become Zero again. The season follows him as he rebuilds the Black Knights and fights Britannia with clever plans, while hiding his secret from the people around him.
