Fate/stay night [Heaven's Feel] I. presage flower

Fate/stay night [Heaven's Feel] I. presage flower is a 2017 dark fantasy film made by ufotable. It is the first of three films that adapt the Heaven's Feel route of the visual novel Fate/stay night by Type-Moon. It is set in Fuyuki, a modern Japanese city, and it has strong violence and dark themes, so it is best for adult viewers.

In Fuyuki, a secret war called the Holy Grail War takes place. Seven mages, called Masters, each summon a Servant, a powerful spirit of a legendary hero. They fight until only one team is left, and the winner gets the Holy Grail, which can grant any wish.

Shirou Emiya is a kind high school student who knows only a little magic. For over a year, a quiet girl named Sakura Matou has come to his house every day to cook and help him. Sakura is the younger sister of Shirou's friend Shinji. She cares deeply for Shirou, and he sees her as part of his family.

Shirou is pulled into the Holy Grail War when he summons Saber, a knight Servant. But this time, the war goes very differently. A strange black shadow appears in the city at night. It attacks people and even Servants, and no one knows what it is. Masters are disappearing one by one.

Shirou decides that above all, he must protect Sakura. The film is the start of a darker and more personal story than earlier Fate adaptations.
