Synopsis
GOBLIN SLAYER is a 2018 dark fantasy action anime, and this first season has 12 episodes. It was made by the studio White Fox and is based on the light novels by Kumo Kagyu. It is set in a fantasy world of adventurers, guilds and monsters. The show has strong violence and is made for adult viewers.
In this world, adventurers join a guild and take quests to earn money and move up in rank. Most new adventurers think goblins are the easiest monsters to fight. They are small and weak on their own. But goblins are clever, and they attack in large groups.
Priestess is a 15 year old girl who has just become an adventurer. She joins a party of three other beginners for her first quest. They go into a cave to hunt goblins that have taken some village girls. The quest goes very wrong, and the party is quickly overwhelmed.
Priestess is saved by a man in dirty, dented armor who never takes off his helmet. People call him Goblin Slayer. He is a Silver-ranked adventurer, one of the best in the region, but he only takes quests about goblins. He hates them and kills every one he finds, using careful plans and tricks.
Priestess decides to join him. Later, an elf archer, a dwarf shaman and a lizardman priest also join the party. The season follows Goblin Slayer and his team as they take on quests to protect villages from goblins, while he slowly learns to live beyond his hatred.
