Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious

Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious is a 2019 fantasy comedy anime with 12 episodes. It was made by the studio White Fox and is based on the light novel series by Light Tuchihi. It is an isekai story, where a person is brought from our world to another world.

Ristarte is a young goddess with little experience. She is given the job of saving Gaeabrande, a world ruled by a Demon Lord. This world is ranked as one of the hardest to save. To help it, she must summon a hero from Earth. She picks Seiya Ryuguin, a young man with amazing stats and a very handsome face.

There is one problem. Seiya is extremely careful about everything. Before he agrees to leave, he trains for days in the gods' world. In the first town, he buys three full sets of armor, one to wear, one as a spare and one in case the spare breaks. When he meets a small, weak slime, he attacks it again and again until nothing is left. His favorite line is that he is "perfectly prepared."

Ristarte finds his behavior very annoying. She wants a brave, romantic hero, but Seiya treats her with no respect at all. Along the way, they meet two young fighters, Mash and Elulu, who want to join the party.

Most of the show is comedy, built on the fights between Ristarte and Seiya. It also has real action as the danger in Gaeabrande grows.
