That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is a 2018 fantasy anime, and this first season has 24 episodes. It was made by the studio Eight Bit and is based on the light novels by Fuse. Most of the story takes place in a fantasy world full of monsters, magic and kingdoms.

Satoru Mikami is a 37 year old office worker in Tokyo. One day, a robber stabs him on the street, and he dies. As he dies, he hears a strange voice that gives him special skills.

Satoru wakes up in a dark cave in another world. He has been reborn as a slime, a small blue blob with no eyes or mouth. Slimes are usually the weakest monsters in a fantasy world. But Satoru has two special skills. Predator lets him swallow things and copy their powers. Great Sage is a voice in his head that helps him think and learn.

In the cave, he meets Veldora, a huge Storm Dragon who has been trapped there by a powerful spell for 300 years. The two become friends, and they give each other a family name. The slime takes the new name Rimuru Tempest.

When Rimuru leaves the cave, he finds a small village of goblins. They are weak and in danger from a pack of wolves. Rimuru decides to help them. The series follows Rimuru as he makes friends with monsters and builds a new place where they can all live in peace.
