TSUKIMICHI -Moonlit Fantasy-

TSUKIMICHI -Moonlit Fantasy- is a 2021 isekai fantasy anime, and this first season has 12 episodes. It was made by the studio C2C and is based on the light novel series by Kei Azumi. It is set in a fantasy world ruled by humans, with many other races such as elves, dwarves and orcs.

Makoto Misumi is an ordinary high school student in Japan. One day, he is suddenly pulled into another world because of a deal his parents made long ago. The goddess who rules this world meets him and says he is too ugly to be her hero. She refuses to help him and throws him out to the wasteland at the far edge of the world.

Luckily, Tsukuyomi, a Japanese moon god, gives Makoto his protection. Makoto also finds out that he is incredibly strong in this world, with huge magic power. But he cannot speak the human language normally, and humans treat him badly because of his looks.

In the wasteland, Makoto meets two powerful creatures. One is a great dragon, and the other is a giant spider that eats everything in its path. After meeting him, both take human form and become his loyal followers, Tomoe and Mio.

Makoto does not want to be a hero. He decides to travel the world as a merchant and help the people he meets. The show mixes comedy, action and world building as Makoto slowly builds his own place in this new world.
