Synopsis
Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto is a 2016 school comedy anime with 12 episodes. It was made by Studio Deen and is based on the manga by Nami Sano. It is set at a normal high school in Japan. Each episode is made up of short stories that are mostly separate from each other.
Sakamoto is a first-year student who is cool in every way. He is calm and stylish, and he is good at everything he tries. Even simple actions, like sitting down or opening a window, look elegant when he does them. Girls in his class are always watching him. Many boys are jealous and want to make him look foolish.
The boys try all kinds of tricks. They throw things at him, set traps and try to embarrass him in front of the class. But Sakamoto always turns the situation around in a smooth and surprising way. Often, his answer is so strange and graceful that the people trying to bully him end up admiring him.
Early in the show, Sakamoto helps Kubota, a shy classmate who is being bullied. Sakamoto does not fight the bullies in a normal way. Instead, he solves the problem in his own odd style.
The humor comes from how serious Sakamoto is about everything, no matter how silly the situation gets. The show is a light comedy about a student who is always just a little too perfect.
