In Another World With My Smartphone is a 2017 fantasy anime, and this first season has 12 episodes. It was made by Production Reed and is based on the light novel series by Patora Fuyuhara. It is an isekai story, where a person from our world is sent to a fantasy world. It has a light and easygoing mood.

Touya Mochizuki is a 15-year-old boy from Japan. One day, he is killed by a stray bolt of lightning. When he wakes up, he meets God, who tells him that the lightning was a mistake. To make up for it, God lets Touya be reborn in a world of swords and magic. Touya asks for only one thing. He wants to keep his smartphone.

God agrees and also makes Touya's body and mind much stronger. In the new world, his phone still works. He can use its map, search the internet and more. Touya soon learns that he can use every type of magic, and he picks up new spells very quickly.

Early on, Touya meets Elze and Linze, twin sisters who become his friends and travel with him. He also meets Yae, a young samurai girl, and Yumina, a princess who takes a strong interest in him. More girls join his group over time.

The show is a relaxed adventure with little danger. It follows Touya as he explores the world, helps people and slowly builds a big circle of friends.
