Synopsis
OSHI NO KO Season 2 is the second season of the drama anime OSHI NO KO. It aired in 2024 with 13 episodes and was made by the studio Doga Kobo. It is based on the manga by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari. The story is set in the Japanese entertainment industry, and it shows the hard and dark side of show business.
Aqua and Ruby Hoshino are twins who were born to Ai Hoshino, a famous idol. Ruby now performs in an idol group. Aqua works as an actor, but his real goal is to find the man he blames for the tragedy that hit their family.
In this season, Aqua and his fellow actor Kana Arima are cast in Tokyo Blade, a stage play based on a popular manga. The play is run by a famous theater company called Lala Lai. Akane Kurokawa, a talented actress, also joins the cast. Aqua and Akane are still acting as a couple in public, and this makes things awkward with Kana.
The actors must work hard to keep up with Lala Lai's skilled stage performers. At the same time, the creator of the original manga is not happy with how the script changes her story. This conflict shows how hard it can be to adapt someone's work.
Aqua also sees the play as a chance to get closer to the truth about his past. The season mixes behind-the-scenes drama with Aqua's quiet and dangerous search.
