Synopsis
Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai is a 2018 romance anime with supernatural elements. It has 13 episodes and was made by the studio CloverWorks. It is based on the light novels by Hajime Kamoshida. The story is set in the seaside city of Fujisawa, near Tokyo.
Sakuta Azusagawa is a second year high school student. He has few friends, and many students at school believe bad rumors about him. He lives alone with his younger sister, Kaede, and does not care much about what others think.
One day in the library, Sakuta sees a girl in a bunny girl costume. She is Mai Sakurajima, a famous young actress who is one year above him at school. Mai stopped acting some time ago. The strange thing is that nobody else in the library can see her. Sakuta can.
Mai explains that people around her have started to forget her. Some cannot see or hear her at all. Sakuta thinks this is caused by Adolescence Syndrome. It is a rare and odd thing that happens to some teenagers, and most adults say it is only an urban myth. Sakuta knows it is real, because it has touched his own family.
Sakuta decides to help Mai before she disappears for good. Along the way, he meets other girls with their own strange problems. The show mixes comedy, romance and drama as Sakuta tries to help each of them.
