Synopsis
Ouran High School Host Club is a 2006 romantic comedy anime with 26 episodes. It was made by the studio Bones and is based on the manga by Bisco Hatori. It is set at Ouran Academy, a very rich private school in Japan for the children of wealthy and powerful families.
Haruhi Fujioka is a new student at Ouran. Unlike most students there, she comes from a normal, middle class family. She got into the school on a scholarship because of her top grades. She has short hair and wears old, baggy clothes, so many people think she is a boy.
One day, Haruhi looks for a quiet place to study and opens the door to an unused music room. Inside, she finds the Host Club. It is a group of six handsome boys who spend their free time entertaining the girls of the school with tea, cakes and charm.
By accident, Haruhi knocks over and breaks an expensive vase worth eight million yen. She cannot pay for it. So the club's dramatic leader, Tamaki Suoh, decides that she will work off the debt as a member of the club. When the boys learn that Haruhi is a girl, they decide to keep it secret, and she becomes a host.
The other members are the cool Kyoya, the twin brothers Hikaru and Kaoru, the cute Honey and the quiet Mori. The series follows Haruhi and the Host Club through silly events and school life, while it also pokes fun at romance stories.
