Synopsis

It is set in a world that mixes magic and technology, where humans fight against monsters called demon faeries. The show has a lot of violence, so it is best for adult viewers.
In this world, being a Hero is not an honor. It is a punishment. The worst criminals are sentenced to be Heroes. They are sent to fight on the front lines again and again. When they die, they are brought back to life to fight once more. There is no end to their sentence.
Xylo Forbartz was once a commander of the Holy Knights. He was found guilty of killing a goddess, and now he leads Penal Hero Unit 9004. His unit is full of strange criminals, including Dotta, a thief who cannot stop stealing.
During a battle, Xylo and Dotta find a coffin that holds Teoritta, a sword goddess. Goddesses are powerful beings who make contracts with knights and help them fight. Teoritta is proud and energetic, and she wants to be praised. She quickly forms a contract with Xylo, even though he hates goddesses.
Together, they fight to survive the demon faeries. Xylo also starts to look for the truth behind the crime he was punished for.
