Synopsis
Attack on Titan: No Regrets is a two-episode OVA released in 2014 and 2015. It was made by Wit Studio and is based on the spin-off manga by Gun Snark and Hikaru Suruga. It tells the early life of Captain Levi, one of the most popular characters in Attack on Titan. It has violence, so it is best for older teens and adults.
In this world, humans live inside huge walls to protect themselves from giant monsters called Titans. Deep beneath the capital city lies the Underground City, a dark and dirty place where poor people and criminals live. Most of them never see the sun.
Levi grew up there. Now he is a skilled thief who uses stolen 3D Maneuver Gear, a device that lets soldiers fly through the air with cables and gas. He works with his two closest friends. Farlan Church is calm and clever, and Isabel Magnolia is loud and cheerful. Their dream is to one day leave the underground and live in the world above.
One day, the Survey Corps, the soldiers who fight Titans outside the walls, come to catch them. Their leader, Erwin Smith, sees Levi's great skill. He offers the three a choice. They can go to prison, or they can join the Survey Corps.
Levi agrees, but he and his friends have a secret plan of their own. The story follows Levi as he learns what it means to fight outside the walls.
