Masamune-kun's Revenge

Masamune-kun's Revenge is a 2017 romantic comedy anime, and this first season has 12 episodes. It was made by the studio SILVER LINK. and is based on the manga by Hazuki Takeoka and Tiv. It is set at a private high school in Japan.

When Masamune Makabe was a child, he was overweight and shy. He became friends with Aki Adagaki, a beautiful girl from a very rich family. But when he told her he liked her, she rejected him in a cruel way. She also gave him a hurtful nickname, "Pig's Foot". Masamune never forgot it.

For years after that, Masamune worked very hard to change. He dieted, exercised and learned how to take care of his looks. He also changed his family name. Now he is a tall, handsome high school student, and many girls like him.

By chance, Masamune transfers to the same school as Aki. She has grown up to be even more beautiful, and she is famous for rejecting every boy who likes her. She even has a mean nickname at school, the Cruel Princess. Aki does not recognize Masamune at all.

Masamune makes a plan. He will make Aki fall in love with him, and then he will dump her, just like she did to him. Aki's maid, Yoshino Koiwai, seems to know his secret and offers to help. The series follows Masamune as he puts his plan into action, and as he finds that Aki is not quite what he expected.
