Synopsis
Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid is a 2017 fantasy comedy anime, and this first season has 13 episodes. It was made by Kyoto Animation and is based on the manga by Coolkyousinnjya. It is set in modern Japan, in and around a small apartment in a normal city.
Kobayashi is an office worker who writes computer code for a living. She is smart but a little lazy at home. She lives alone and likes her quiet life. One night, after drinking too much, she goes up into the mountains. There she meets a real dragon with a sword stuck in its back. Kobayashi pulls the sword out, and the two of them talk and drink together until late.
The next morning, Kobayashi opens her door and finds a huge dragon outside. It turns into a young woman in a maid outfit. Her name is Tohru. Kobayashi does not remember much from the night before, but she did invite Tohru to live with her. Tohru is deeply grateful for her help, and she wants to serve Kobayashi as her maid.
Tohru loves Kobayashi, but she does not know much about human life. Her cooking and cleaning often cause chaos. Soon other dragons also come to the human world. Kanna Kamui, a small and quiet young dragon, moves in with them and starts going to elementary school.
The show follows Kobayashi, Tohru and Kanna as they build a strange but warm family, full of small daily adventures.
