Synopsis
SAKAMOTO DAYS is a 2025 action comedy anime. This first part has 11 episodes and was made by TMS Entertainment. It is based on the manga by Yuto Suzuki. It is set in modern Japan, where professional hitmen secretly work all around normal people.
Taro Sakamoto was once the most feared hitman in the world. Every killer in the underworld knew his name. Then one day, he walked into a convenience store and fell in love with the young woman working there. He quit his life of crime for her.
Now Sakamoto is married to Aoi, and they have a little daughter named Hana. He runs a small neighborhood store with his family. He has gained a lot of weight and looks like a quiet, ordinary shop owner. He has also promised his wife that he will never kill again.
But his old life has not forgotten him. Hitmen start to come after Sakamoto, and soon a huge reward is placed on his head. Even out of shape, Sakamoto is still incredibly strong and fast. He can use anything around him, like pens or snacks, as a weapon, without breaking his promise to Aoi.
His first ally is Shin Asakura, a young former hitman who can read minds. Shin was sent to kill Sakamoto, but he ends up working at the store instead. The series follows Sakamoto and his new team as they protect his family and his peaceful life from a steady stream of dangerous killers.
