Synopsis
One-Punch Man is a 2015 action comedy anime, and this first season has 12 episodes. It was made by the studio Madhouse. It is based on the manga drawn by Yusuke Murata, which comes from the original web comic by ONE.
The story takes place in City Z, a city where monsters and villains attack all the time. Saitama is a young man who became a hero just for fun. He trained every day for three years, and now he is so strong that he can beat any enemy with a single punch. The training also made him go bald.
Saitama has a big problem. Every fight is too easy, and he feels nothing when he wins. He wants to find an opponent who can give him a real fight. Most of his days are quiet. He shops for groceries, looks for sales and watches TV in his small apartment.
Then Saitama meets Genos, a serious young cyborg who is also fighting evil. Genos sees Saitama's power and asks to become his student. He wants to learn the secret behind that strength. Saitama does not really want a student, but Genos will not give up.
The show mixes big fight scenes with jokes about superhero stories. It follows Saitama as he tries to find meaning in being a hero when nothing can challenge him.
