Synopsis
My Hero Academia is a 2016 superhero anime, and this first season has 13 episodes. It was made by the studio Bones and is based on the manga by Kohei Horikoshi. It is set in a modern Japan where most people are born with a special power called a Quirk.

With so many powers in the world, some people use them to commit crimes. Pro heroes fight these villains as a real job, and the best of them are famous. The top hero of all is All Might, who always saves people with a big smile.

Izuku Midoriya is a middle school student who wants to be a hero more than anything. The problem is that he was born without a Quirk. Other kids tease him for it, and his childhood friend Katsuki Bakugo is the worst of them. Izuku still studies heroes and fills notebooks with ideas about their powers.

One day a villain attacks Izuku, and All Might saves him. Izuku asks his idol if a person with no Quirk can still become a hero. After Izuku shows real courage in a dangerous moment, All Might makes him an offer that could change his life.

Izuku now has a goal. He must get his body ready for the entrance exam at U.A. High School, the top school for young heroes. The season follows his hard training and his first steps toward the hero he wants to be.
