Synopsis
Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is a 2017 ninja action anime with 293 episodes. It was made by Studio Pierrot and is based on the manga by Ukyo Kodachi and Masashi Kishimoto. It is set in the Hidden Leaf Village many years after the events of Naruto: Shippuden.
The ninja world is now at peace. The Hidden Leaf Village has become a modern city with trains, video games and tall buildings. Naruto Uzumaki, the hero of the old series, has become the Seventh Hokage, the leader of the village. He works very hard and is almost never at home.
Boruto Uzumaki is Naruto's son. He is talented and full of energy, but he is also cocky and a bit of a troublemaker. Boruto is angry that his father spends so little time with his family. He does not want to live in his father's shadow, and he wants to prove himself in his own way.
The first episodes show Boruto as a student at the Ninja Academy. He makes friends with his classmates, including Shikadai Nara, Inojin Yamanaka and Mitsuki, a strange but friendly new student. He also has a rivalry with Sarada Uchiha, the daughter of Sasuke and Sakura. The students solve mysteries, get into trouble and learn what it means to be a ninja.
The show also hints that dark times are ahead. The series follows Boruto as he grows as a ninja and faces new threats to the peaceful world.
