Synopsis
Assassination Classroom is a 2015 action comedy anime set in a Japanese junior high school. This first season has 22 episodes. It was made by the studio Lerche and is based on the manga by Yusei Matsui.
One day, a strange creature blows up most of the Moon. It says it will destroy the Earth next March. Then it makes an odd request. It wants to teach Class 3-E at Kunugigaoka Junior High School. The government agrees, but it gives the students a secret job. They must kill their new teacher before the end of the school year. If they do, they will get a reward of ten billion yen.
Class 3-E is known as the "End Class". The school sends its weakest students there, and the rest of the school looks down on them. The students name their teacher Koro-sensei, which means "the teacher who cannot be killed". He looks like a big yellow octopus with a smile. He can move at 20 times the speed of sound, so he dodges every attack with ease.
But Koro-sensei is also a very good teacher. He cares about each student and helps them grow. The story is told by Nagisa Shiota, a quiet boy who takes careful notes on his teacher's weak points. Soon a clever and troublesome boy named Karma Akabane returns to class and joins the plan.
The season follows Class 3-E as they plan attacks, learn in class and begin to believe in themselves.
