Synopsis
Assassination Classroom Second Season is the 2016 second and final season of the action comedy anime. It has 25 episodes and was made by the studio Lerche, based on the manga by Yusei Matsui. It picks up in the summer, soon after the end of the first season.
Class 3-E at Kunugigaoka Junior High School has a very strange teacher. Koro-sensei is a yellow, octopus-like creature who destroyed most of the Moon. He says he will destroy the Earth in March. Until then, he teaches Class 3-E, and the students have a secret mission. They must kill him before the end of the school year.
Koro-sensei is very fast and very hard to kill. But he is also a caring teacher, and the students have grown a lot under him. Nagisa Shiota, Karma Akabane and their classmates have become stronger and more confident.
The season opens with a summer festival and then the start of the second term. The class takes part in more school events, like sports days, exams and the school festival. They keep trying to find better ways to attack Koro-sensei, and new assassins come after him too. The main school still looks down on Class 3-E, and the students want to prove them wrong.
As March gets closer, the class starts to wonder who Koro-sensei really is and where he came from. The season follows Class 3-E as they grow as people and move toward the end of their year together.
