Synopsis
Classroom of the Elite is a 2017 psychological school drama anime, and this first season has 12 episodes. It was made by the studio Lerche and is based on the light novels by Shogo Kinugasa and Tomoseshunsaku. It is set at Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School, a special school run by the government.
The school promises its students a bright future. Its graduates can get into almost any university or job they want. Students live on campus and cannot contact the outside world. The school gives each student points every month, and they can use these points like money to buy anything on campus.
The students are split into four classes, from A to D. Class A is for the best students. Class D is where the school puts students it thinks are the worst.
Kiyotaka Ayanokoji is a quiet student in Class D. He does not show much emotion and tries not to stand out. He gets average grades, and he says he just wants a peaceful school life. He sits next to Suzune Horikita, a smart and cold girl who does not want any friends. He also meets Kikyo Kushida, a kind and cheerful girl who wants to be friends with everyone.
At first, Class D enjoys all the freedom the school gives them. But soon they learn that the system is not as simple as it seemed. The series follows Ayanokoji and his class as they try to move up in a school where every choice has a cost.
