Synopsis
Classroom of the Elite Season 2 is the 2022 second season of the psychological school drama anime. It has 13 episodes and was made by the studio Lerche, based on the light novels by Shogo Kinugasa and Tomoseshunsaku. It picks up right after the end of the first season.
At Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School, the students are split into four classes, from A to D. Each class earns points based on how well its students do. The points work like money, and the class with the most points at the end gets special rewards. Every test is also a battle between the classes.
Kiyotaka Ayanokoji is a quiet student in Class D, the lowest class. He hides how smart he really is and acts like an average student. In the last exam, he helped Class D in secret, but he let other people take the credit.
The season opens on a cruise ship after the island exam. The school gives the students a new test. They are split into small groups made up of students from every class. Each group has a hidden target, and the students must use lies, logic and trust to find it.
Later, a sports festival and other tests push the classes into new fights. Kakeru Ryuen, the aggressive leader of Class C, starts to suspect that someone is secretly helping Class D. The season follows Ayanokoji as he works in the shadows to move his class up, while Ryuen hunts for the person behind their success.
