Synopsis
My Hero Academia Season 5 is the 2021 fifth season of the superhero anime. It has 25 episodes and was made by the studio Bones, based on the manga by Kohei Horikoshi. It picks up soon after the events of the fourth season.
Izuku Midoriya and the students of Class 1-A are in their first year at U.A. High School. They have grown a lot, but the world is getting more dangerous. Villains are becoming bolder, and the heroes feel the pressure to be ready.
The season starts with a big training event. Class 1-A faces Class 1-B, the other hero class in their year, in a series of team battles. The two classes have been rivals since the start of the year. Class 1-B wants to prove that it is just as good as Class 1-A. Hitoshi Shinso, a boy from the general studies course who wants to transfer into the hero course, also takes part to show what he can do.
Izuku is still learning how to use One For All, the power passed down to him by All Might. During this time, he starts to have strange dreams about the people who held the power before him. His Quirk also begins to change in ways that surprise him.
At the same time, pro heroes like Endeavor and Hawks deal with the growing threat of the villains. The season follows Izuku and his classmates as they train, work with pro heroes and prepare for what is coming.
