Synopsis
Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow- is the 2025 second season of the action fantasy anime. It has 13 episodes and was made by A-1 Pictures, based on the Korean web novel by Chugong and its web comic version. It picks up soon after the end of the first season.
In this world, portals called Gates open all over the planet. They lead to dungeons full of monsters, and people with special powers called Hunters must clear them. Hunters are ranked from E, the weakest, to S, the strongest.
Sung Jinwoo was once called the weakest Hunter of all. But after a near death event in a hidden dungeon, he gained a mysterious System that lets him level up like a character in a video game. Now he is much stronger than anyone knows. He can also raise the shadows of defeated enemies and make them fight for him.
Jinwoo goes to get his rank checked again, and the results shock the Hunter Association. He is no longer E-rank. Big guilds start to take an interest in him, and his new power draws attention from people who want to use it.
At the same time, Jinwoo still has one main goal. He wants to save his mother, who has been in a deep sleep for years. He also teams up with his friend Yoo Jinho and takes on more dangerous Gates. The season follows Jinwoo as he grows his shadow army and faces bigger threats than ever before.
