Synopsis
Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze Arc is a 2025 action horror anime film made by the studio MAPPA and directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara. It runs for about 100 minutes and is based on the manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto. It follows straight on from the first season of the Chainsaw Man TV series.

The story is set in a version of Japan where devils are real. Denji is a teenage boy who can turn into Chainsaw Man, a half human and half devil with chainsaws on his head and arms. He works as a devil hunter for the government's Public Safety division. He lives with his coworkers Aki and Power, and he has a big crush on his boss, Makima.

After a hard battle, life calms down for a while. Makima takes Denji on a date to watch movies all day. Denji is happy, but he still does not really understand his own feelings.

One rainy day, Denji hides from the storm in a phone booth. There he meets Reze, a cute and friendly girl who works at a small café. She is easy to talk to and seems to like him a lot. Denji starts to visit her café, and they spend more and more time together.

Denji feels torn between Makima and Reze. He has never had anyone show him this kind of attention before. The film follows Denji as he tries to understand love, while trouble quietly builds around him.
