Synopsis
DON'T TOY WITH ME, MISS NAGATORO is a 2021 romantic comedy anime, and this first season has 12 episodes. It was made by Telecom Animation Film and is based on the manga by Nanashi. It is set at a high school in modern Japan.
The main character is a shy second year high school student who spends his free time drawing in the art club room. He is the only member of the club. He is quiet and awkward, and he does not have many friends. For most of the show, he is simply called Senpai.
One day, a group of first year girls finds the manga he has been secretly drawing. One of the girls, Hayase Nagatoro, starts to read it out loud and makes fun of it until he cries. She is energetic and confident, and she loves to tease people.
After that day, Nagatoro keeps coming back to the art club room to see Senpai. She teases him about everything, from his drawings to his lack of confidence around girls. She calls him names and pushes him to do embarrassing things. But she also spends almost all her free time with him and gets upset when others try to bully him.
Senpai is annoyed at first, but slowly he starts to enjoy her company, and he begins to stand up for himself a little more. The show follows Senpai and Nagatoro through their daily school life, as their strange friendship slowly turns into something more.
