Synopsis
Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You is a 2009 romantic drama anime, and this first season has 25 episodes. It was made by Production I.G and is based on the manga by Karuho Shiina. It is set at a high school in a small city in Japan.
Sawako Kuronuma is a first year high school student. She has long, straight black hair and a very pale face. Because of this, she looks a lot like Sadako, the scary ghost girl from a famous horror movie. Her classmates call her Sadako and are afraid of her. There are even rumors that she can see ghosts and put curses on people.
In truth, Sawako is a very kind and honest girl. She wants to help others and make friends. But she is shy and awkward, and every time she tries to talk to people, they get scared and misunderstand her.
Shota Kazehaya is the most popular boy in class. He is cheerful and nice to everyone. Unlike the others, Kazehaya is not afraid of Sawako. He talks to her and treats her like a normal classmate. For Sawako, this means a lot.
With his help, Sawako slowly starts to open up. She becomes friends with two girls, Ayane Yano and Chizuru Yoshida, who also have bad reputations. The series follows Sawako as she makes her first real friends, learns to speak up and starts to understand her feelings for Kazehaya.
