Synopsis
My Little Monster is a 2012 romantic comedy anime with 13 episodes. It was made by the studio Brain's Base and is based on the manga by Robico. It is set at a high school in modern Japan.
Shizuku Mizutani is a first year high school student who only cares about her grades. She wants to be the top student in the country. She does not care about friends or fun, and other students think she is cold and strange.
One day, her teacher asks her to take some printed notes to a boy who sits next to her in class. His name is Haru Yoshida. Haru has not been to school since the first day, when he got into a big fight. Shizuku only agrees to go because the teacher offers her something in return.
When she meets Haru, he is not what she expected. He is wild and very emotional, but he is also honest and friendly. Haru decides right away that Shizuku is his friend. Soon after, he says he loves her, even though he does not really know what that means.
Haru starts coming to school again, and he follows Shizuku everywhere. Slowly, the two of them make other friends and begin to open up. The series follows Shizuku and Haru as they learn about friendship and love, and as Shizuku finds out that there is more to life than studying.
