Nyaruko-san: Another Crawling Chaos F is a one episode OVA from 2015 that follows the two television seasons of the comedy series. It comes from studio Xebec and is based on the light novels by Manta Aisora. The story mixes science fiction, romance and parody, and it borrows many names from the horror writing of H. P. Lovecraft.
Mahiro Yasaka is a normal high school student. He lives with Nyaruko, an alien from the Space Defence Agency who was sent to protect him. Nyaruko is loud, she loves video games and manga, and she is very open about her feelings for Mahiro. He does his best to ignore her. Their friends Cthuko and Hasuta share the house and add to the noise.
The OVA starts with a strange dream. Mahiro wakes up and is sure that Nyaruko is behind it, which begins a very normal morning of arguments. Later, Tamao and Takehiko arrive with free tickets for a popular new attraction in town, a real life escape game. The whole group goes along. The building looks dark and unfriendly.
The players have to split into pairs, choose a door and solve the puzzle behind it. At first it all feels like a game. This is a short and self contained story, so it works best for people who already know the cast.
