Synopsis
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2 is the 2021 second season of the fantasy anime. This first part has 12 episodes and was made by the studio Eight Bit, based on the light novels by Fuse. It picks up soon after the end of the first season.
Rimuru Tempest was once a normal office worker in Japan. After he died, he was reborn in a fantasy world as a slime. Thanks to his special skills, he became very strong. He made friends with many monsters, including goblins, wolves, ogres and lizardmen, and he built a new home for them.
That home has grown into the Jura Tempest Federation, a real country ruled by monsters. Rimuru is now its leader. The town is busy and happy, and there is always something new to build or plan. Rimuru has to deal with a lot of work, from city planning to meetings with his officials.
Tempest now starts to trade and make friends with other nations. Rimuru sends a group to the Beast Kingdom of Eurazania to set up a new partnership. He also spends time in the human world and wants humans and monsters to live side by side.
But not everyone is happy about a nation of monsters. Some human kingdoms and powerful groups see Tempest as a threat, and they start to make their own plans. The season follows Rimuru as he leads his growing nation and faces the hard choices that come with being a ruler.
