The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten is a 2023 romantic comedy anime with 12 episodes. It was made by Project No.9 and is based on the light novel series by Saekisan. It is set in modern Japan, mostly in a high school and an apartment building. It is a slow, sweet romance with very little drama.

Amane Fujimiya is a high school boy who lives alone in an apartment. He is not good at taking care of himself. His room is messy, and he mostly eats convenience store food.

Mahiru Shiina lives in the apartment next door. At school, she is known as the Angel because she is beautiful and polite, and she is top of her class. Amane has never really talked to her. One rainy day, he sees her sitting alone on a swing in the park. She looks sad. Amane gives her his umbrella and leaves without saying much.

The next day, Amane catches a cold from the rain. Mahiru comes over to take care of him and return the favor. When she sees how he lives, she is shocked. She starts bringing him home-cooked food, and soon she is cooking dinner for him every day.

Little by little, the two spend more time together. Amane learns that the Angel has a more normal and lonely side that she hides at school. The show follows their growing friendship as they slowly become an important part of each other's lives.
