Synopsis
The Dangers in My Heart is a 2023 romantic comedy anime, and this first season has 12 episodes. It was made by Shin-Ei Animation and is based on the manga by Norio Sakurai. It is set at a middle school in modern Japan.
Kyotaro Ichikawa is a quiet and gloomy second-year student. He sits alone, reads books about murder and imagines himself as a dark and dangerous person. In his head, he often pictures hurting the popular kids in his class. It is all in his mind, but he likes to think of himself as the bad guy.
His main target is Anna Yamada, the prettiest girl in class. She is tall and works as a model. Kyotaro thinks she must be shallow and mean like the other popular kids. But one day, he finds her in the school library, where she sneaks in to eat snacks.
The more Kyotaro watches Anna, the more he learns that she is not what he expected. She is goofy and kind. She eats all the time and says odd things. She also seems to enjoy talking to him. Slowly, Kyotaro's dark thoughts start to change into something else.
The show is told mostly from Kyotaro's point of view, with his inner thoughts adding a lot of the humor. It is a sweet story about first love and seeing people for who they really are.
