Synopsis
Vivy -Fluorite Eye's Song- is a 2021 science fiction anime with 13 episodes. It was made by Wit Studio and is an original story, written by Tappei Nagatsuki and Eiji Umehara. It is set in a future Japan where human-like robots called AIs work next to people in daily life.
Vivy is the world's first fully independent humanoid AI. She works as a singer at NiaLand, a large theme park. Every AI has one mission, and Vivy's mission is to make people happy with her singing. But very few people come to her small stage. She keeps trying to understand what it means to sing from the heart.
One day, a strange AI named Matsumoto suddenly contacts her. He says he is a program sent back from 100 years in the future. In his time, AIs have turned against humans and started a war that is wiping them out. Matsumoto says the only way to stop this is to change certain key events in history. He calls this the Singularity Project, and he needs Vivy's help.
Their first job is to stop an attack on a politician who wants to give AIs legal rights. Vivy has never fought before, and she does not fully trust Matsumoto. Still, she agrees to help.
The story jumps forward in time across many years. It follows Vivy as she tries to save the future while still looking for the meaning of her song.
