Synopsis
WIND BREAKER is a 2024 action anime about young street fighters, and this first season has 13 episodes. It was made by CloverWorks and is based on the manga by Satoru Nii. It is set in a small town in modern Japan, with shops, cafes and busy streets.
Haruka Sakura is a loner who has been fighting all his life. People have always treated him as strange because of his hair, which is black on one side and white on the other. He moves to the town to attend Furin High School, a school that is famous for its tough delinquents. His goal is simple. He wants to beat everyone and become the strongest student there.
But when Sakura arrives, he finds something he did not expect. The students of Furin, known as Bofurin, now use their strength to protect the town. The people in the town trust them and thank them. Sakura does not know how to deal with that.
He meets Kotoha, a young woman who runs a cafe, and Akihiko Nirei, a weak but eager boy who writes notes about every fighter. He also meets Hajime Umemiya, the cheerful leader of Furin, who treats everyone like family.
Soon, gangs from other areas begin to cause trouble for the town. The show mixes street fights with a story about friendship and learning to trust others.
