Synopsis
Delicious in Dungeon is a 2024 fantasy adventure comedy anime, and this first season has 24 episodes. It was made by Studio Trigger and is based on the manga by Ryoko Kui. It is set in a fantasy world, mostly inside a huge dungeon under an island.
The dungeon is full of monsters, traps and treasure. Many adventurers go down to explore it. There is also a legend that a golden kingdom lies at the very bottom.
Laios is a tall knight who leads a small party of adventurers. Deep in the dungeon, his group is attacked by a huge red dragon. The party is almost wiped out. Just before the end, Laios's younger sister, Falin, uses magic to send the others back to the surface. But the dragon eats her.
Laios wants to save his sister before the dragon fully digests her. The party has lost almost all its money and supplies, and some members have left. So Laios comes up with a strange idea. They will go back down right away and eat the monsters they find along the way.
Laios is joined by Marcille, an elf mage who hates the idea of eating monsters, and Chilchuck, a halfling who is an expert at opening locks and finding traps. Soon they meet Senshi, a dwarf who has spent years cooking monster meals in the dungeon. The series follows the group as they cook, fight and learn about the dungeon on their way to rescue Falin.
