Synopsis
Dragon Ball Super is a 2015 action adventure anime with 131 episodes. It was made by Toei Animation and is based on the story by Akira Toriyama. It is set a few years after the defeat of Majin Buu, at the end of Dragon Ball Z.
The Earth is at peace. Goku, the strongest fighter on Earth, now works as a farmer to help support his family, though he would much rather be training. His wife Chi-Chi wants him to earn money. His sons Gohan and Goten are growing up, and his old rival Vegeta is living with his own family.
Far away in space, a powerful being wakes up from a long sleep. He is Beerus, the God of Destruction, a cat-like god whose job is to destroy planets to keep the universe in balance. With him is Whis, his calm and polite attendant and teacher. Beerus had a dream about a warrior called the Super Saiyan God, and he wants to find and fight this warrior.
Beerus's search leads him to Earth. He is far stronger than anyone Goku has ever faced. If he is not satisfied, he may destroy the whole planet. Goku and his friends must find a way to reach the power of a god.
Later in the series, the heroes face new threats, meet beings from other universes and join a great tournament. The series follows Goku, Vegeta and their friends as they push past their limits and learn about gods and the wider universe.
