Synopsis
Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions - Heart Throb - is the second season of the romantic comedy anime Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions. It aired in 2014 with 12 episodes and was made by Kyoto Animation. It is based on the light novel series by Torako. It is set in modern Japan, at a normal high school.
Chunibyo is a Japanese word for teenagers who act like they have secret powers or come from a fantasy story. Yuta Togashi used to be like that in middle school, and he is still embarrassed about it. Rikka Takanashi is a girl who has not grown out of it. She wears an eye patch and calls herself the Wielder of the Wicked Eye.
At the end of the first season, Yuta and Rikka became a couple. Now it is a new school year. Rikka's family situation changes, and she moves into Yuta's home. The two are now living under the same roof, but they still have no idea how to act like a real couple. Even holding hands feels like a big step.
Their friends are still around too. Shinka Nibutani, Sanae Dekomori and Kumin Tsuyuri keep the club busy with their own odd problems. Soon, a new transfer student named Satone Shichimiya arrives. She is another chunibyo girl, and she seems to know Yuta from his past.
The season mixes silly fantasy battles with sweet, awkward first love.
