Synopsis
Bungo Stray Dogs 2 is the 2016 second season of the supernatural action anime. It has 12 episodes and was made by the studio Bones, based on the manga by Kafka Asagiri and Sango Harukawa. It picks up after the end of the first season.
In the port city of Yokohama, some people have special powers. Many characters are named after famous writers, and their powers are linked to those writers' books. The Armed Detective Agency is a group of people with powers who handle dangerous cases. The Port Mafia is a powerful criminal group that controls the city's dark side.
The season opens with a story set four years in the past. Osamu Dazai, now a member of the Agency, was once a top member of the Port Mafia. In this story, he spends time with his friends Odasaku, a quiet Mafia member who refuses to kill, and Ango, an information agent. At the same time, a dangerous group begins to cause trouble for the Mafia, and the three friends are caught in the middle.
After this, the story returns to the present. Atsushi Nakajima and the Agency face a new enemy. The Guild, a rich and powerful group of gifted people from North America, arrives in Yokohama. They want something from the city, and they are ready to fight both the Agency and the Port Mafia to get it.
The season follows Dazai's past and Atsushi's present as the city becomes a battlefield between three groups.
