Synopsis
DAN DA DAN Season 2 is the 2025 second season of the supernatural action comedy anime. It has 12 episodes and was made by the studio Science SARU, based on the manga by Yukinobu Tatsu. It picks up right after the end of the first season.
Momo Ayase is a high school girl whose grandmother is a spirit medium. Momo has psychic powers of her own. Ken Takakura, nicknamed Okarun, is a shy boy who loves aliens and the occult. After being cursed by a yokai, he can turn into a powerful fighting form. The two of them have become close friends, and they deal with ghosts, yokai and aliens all the time.
At the end of the first season, Momo and Okarun traveled with their friend Jiji to a hot spring town in the countryside. Jiji is Momo's childhood friend, and his family's house there seems to be haunted. The house is full of strange paper charms, and the family who owns it is hiding something.
Soon, the friends face a giant monster that lives under the mountains. At the same time, a powerful and angry spirit with a sad history appears. It causes big trouble for the group, and Momo and Okarun must fight hard to protect Jiji and each other.
Like the first season, this season mixes action and comedy with moments of real emotion. It follows Momo, Okarun and Jiji as they try to solve the mystery of the town and deal with the new danger.
