Synopsis
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc is the 2024 fourth TV season of the dark fantasy action anime. It has 8 episodes and was made by the studio ufotable, based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge. It picks up right after the Swordsmith Village Arc.
The story is set in Japan in the early 1900s. Tanjiro Kamado is a young Demon Slayer who fights demons that eat humans. His sister Nezuko was turned into a demon, but she has never hurt anyone. Recent events have changed Nezuko in a very important way, and now the demons want her more than ever.
The leader of all demons, Muzan Kibutsuji, is getting ready to make his move. The Demon Slayer Corps knows a final battle is coming. To prepare, the Hashira, the strongest swordsmen in the Corps, start a special training program for the other Demon Slayers.
Each Hashira runs a different kind of training. Some focus on strength and stamina, while others focus on speed or sword skills. Tanjiro has to go through each stage, one by one, and many of the lessons are very hard.
At the same time, Tanjiro tries to reach out to Giyu Tomioka, the Water Hashira. Giyu refuses to join the training, and he keeps to himself. The season follows Tanjiro as he trains with the Hashira, grows stronger and prepares for the fight against Muzan.
