Synopsis
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc is the 2023 third TV season of the dark fantasy action anime. It has 11 episodes and was made by the studio ufotable, based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge. It follows the events of the Entertainment District Arc.
The story is set in Japan in the early 1900s. Tanjiro Kamado is a young Demon Slayer who fights demons that eat humans. He travels with his sister Nezuko, who was turned into a demon but still protects people.
After his last hard battle, Tanjiro's sword is badly damaged. His swordsmith, Hotaru Haganezuka, is very angry about it. So Tanjiro travels to the Swordsmith Village, a hidden place where the Corps's swords are made. The village is kept secret to protect it from demons.
In the village, Tanjiro meets two Hashira, the strongest swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps. Mitsuri Kanroji, the Love Hashira, is sweet and friendly. Muichiro Tokito, the Mist Hashira, is young and distant, and he forgets things easily. Tanjiro also meets Genya Shinazugawa, a rude Demon Slayer from his year.
While he waits for his sword, Tanjiro trains with an old fighting doll that is hundreds of years old. But the peace of the village does not last. Powerful demons have learned where it is. The season follows Tanjiro, Nezuko and the Hashira as they fight to protect the swordsmiths and their home.
