Synopsis
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc is the 2021 second TV season of the dark fantasy action anime. It has 11 episodes and was made by the studio ufotable, based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge. It follows the events of the Mugen Train story.
The story is set in Japan in the early 1900s. Tanjiro Kamado is a young Demon Slayer who fights demons that eat humans. His sister Nezuko was turned into a demon, and he travels with her in a wooden box.
Tanjiro and his friends Zenitsu and Inosuke meet Tengen Uzui, the Sound Hashira. He is a proud and loud fighter who loves anything flashy. Tengen is on a mission in Yoshiwara, the famous entertainment district of Tokyo. At night the streets are full of light, music and guests.
Tengen believes a demon is hiding in Yoshiwara. His three wives went there in secret to find it. Now he has not heard from them in some time. He takes the three boys with him to help.
To get inside the district's houses, the boys must go undercover dressed as girls. Each one gets a job in a different house. They look for clues about Tengen's wives, and they soon learn that the demon here is very strong.
The season follows Tanjiro, his friends and Tengen as they search the district and try to find the demon before more people disappear.
