Synopsis
Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train is a 2020 anime action film made by the studio ufotable. It is directed by Haruo Sotozaki, runs for about two hours and is based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge. It follows straight on from the end of the first season of the TV series.

The story is set in Japan in the Taisho era, in the early 1900s. Demons that eat humans hide in the dark, and the Demon Slayer Corps fights them in secret. Tanjiro Kamado is a young Demon Slayer. His little sister, Nezuko, was turned into a demon, but she still protects people. Tanjiro wants to find a way to make her human again.

Tanjiro, Nezuko and their friends Zenitsu and Inosuke get a new mission. More than 40 people have gone missing on a steam train called the Mugen Train. The Corps has sent swordsmen to look into it, but they have also vanished.

On the train, they meet Kyojuro Rengoku, the Flame Hashira. He is one of the strongest fighters in the whole Corps. Rengoku is loud and warm, and he takes the young slayers under his wing.

The group soon learns that a demon is hiding on the train. Once the passengers fall asleep, strange things start to happen. The film follows Tanjiro and Rengoku as they fight to protect the hundreds of people on board.
