Synopsis
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train Arc is the 2021 TV version of the Mugen Train story. It has 7 episodes and was made by the studio ufotable, based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge. It retells the events of the Mugen Train film and adds a brand new first episode.

The story is set in Japan in the early 1900s, when demons that eat humans hide in the dark. Tanjiro Kamado is a young Demon Slayer. His little sister, Nezuko, was turned into a demon, but she still protects people. Tanjiro wants to find a way to make her human again.

The new first episode follows Kyojuro Rengoku, the Flame Hashira and one of the strongest fighters in the Demon Slayer Corps. He is sent to look into people who have gone missing near a steam train called the Mugen Train. On the way, he helps a pair of food sellers and deals with a demon in their town.

After that, the main story begins. Tanjiro, Nezuko and their friends Zenitsu and Inosuke join Rengoku on the train. More than 40 people have vanished on it, and swordsmen sent to find them have also disappeared. Rengoku is loud and warm, and he takes the young slayers under his wing.

The group soon learns that a demon is hiding on board. Once the passengers fall asleep, strange things start to happen. The series follows Tanjiro and Rengoku as they fight to protect the hundreds of people on the train.
