Synopsis
Hell's Paradise Season 2 is the second season of the dark fantasy action anime Hell's Paradise. It aired in 2026 and was made by MAPPA. It is based on the manga by Yuji Kaku. The show has a lot of blood and violence, so it is only for adult viewers.
The story is set in Japan during the Edo period. Gabimaru the Hollow is a feared ninja who was sentenced to death. He and other criminals were sent to Shinsenkyo, a strange island that is said to hold the elixir of life. Any criminal who brings back the elixir will be pardoned. Each one is watched by an executioner from the Yamada Asaemon clan. Gabimaru is paired with Sagiri, a young woman who is a skilled swordswoman.
In the first season, the group learned that the island is full of monsters and ruled by powerful beings called the Tensen. Many criminals and executioners did not survive. Gabimaru still has one goal. He wants to get home to his wife.
At the start of this season, news of the island reaches the Shogunate. A second group is sent to Shinsenkyo. It includes more members of the Yamada Asaemon clan and ninjas from Iwagakure, Gabimaru's old village. On the island, Gabimaru's group runs into the Aza brothers, a pair of dangerous bandits.
As more people arrive, the fight for the elixir gets even more crowded and deadly.
