Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? is a 2015 fantasy action anime, and this first season has 13 episodes. It was made by the studio J.C.Staff and is based on the light novels by Fujino Omori. It is set in Orario, a large city built on top of a huge underground maze called the Dungeon.

In this world, gods have come down from the heavens to live among people. They give up most of their divine power to do so. Each god leads a group called a Familia. The god gives the members a blessing that lets them grow stronger as they fight. Adventurers from these Familias go into the Dungeon to fight monsters and collect magic stones.

Bell Cranel is a 14 year old boy who has just become an adventurer. He is the only member of the Hestia Familia. Hestia is a small, cheerful goddess who is very poor and works part time at a food stand.

One day in the Dungeon, Bell is almost killed by a Minotaur. A famous swordswoman named Ais Wallenstein saves him with a single strike. Bell falls in love with her on the spot. He decides to become strong enough to stand beside her one day.

After this, Bell gains a rare new skill. It makes him grow stronger very quickly as long as his feelings stay strong. The series follows Bell as he trains, fights in the Dungeon and makes new friends in Orario.
